Project activities to date

In our work with 20 000 farmers across 5 district municipalities-

• We work with 154 dip tank areas
• We work with 7 Livestock Associations
• We work in 5 District municipalities
• We have established the following micro-businesses 
• 115 Blockmakers 40 skins 12 stover processing 260 Animal health support
• R 6 006 257 Value has been generated in livestock 
• 5 861 Goats have been sold through auctions and monthly sales
• Over 20 million rand in increased informal  sales
• 78 000 Farmers interviewed  through the annual livestock census
• 6781 Farmers who are members and actively commercialising their herds
• 15 % increase in goat productivity
• 356 Cahws were trained through the project life
• 260 CAHWs are active in the field
• 23 576 training days were held since inception
• 7 mobile sales points supplied
• 12 Agri-vet shops are active
